Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain is making a name for himself in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He could soon add another big franchise event to his list of accomplishments.  According to people who spoke to BDCricTime, the Hobart Hurricanes, an Australian Big Bash League (BBL) team, want to sign him for the future Global Super League (GSL).

Rishad's status for the event has already been checked with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) by the Hurricanes.

21-year-old Rishad is quickly becoming one of Bangladesh's most exciting spin talents.  He was picked by the Hobart Hurricanes in the BBL Draft earlier. After Shakib Al Hasan, he is the only other Bangladeshi player to be picked for the renowned Australian league.  He couldn't play in the 2023–24 BBL season, though, because it clashed with the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

They won the BBL title even though Rishad wasn't there.  But it's clear that they haven't forgotten how good the young spinner could be.

The Hobart Hurricanes are the current BBL champions, so they have won a spot in the Global Super League. This is a brand-new T20 tournament with franchise league winners from all over the world.  They want Rishad to be on their team this time.

During the last BPL season, Rishad was a big reason why Rangpur Riders won the title.  Rangpur Riders have been invited to play in this year's Global Super League because they won the BPL.
