Ravi Bishnoi becomes No.1 T20I bowler in ICC Bowling Rankings
Team India and Indian players now occupy top spots in ICC rankings in 8 different categories.

In the latest ICC rankings updates, star Indian spinner Ravi Bishnoi surpassed Rashid Khan to become the new No.1 T20I bowler.
India's young spin sensation Ravi Bishnoi has moved to the top of the latest ICC rankings for T20I bowlers after his scintillating performance in the recently concluded five-match series against Australia. He has replaced Afghan superstar Rashid Khan and secured the top spot in the ICC rankings.
The young star player played a key role in India's comfortable 4-1 series win against the team from Down Under. Ravi Bishnoi ended the series as the top wicket-taker. In 5 matches he took 9 wickets at an impressive average of 18.22. Before the last update, he was fifth in the ICC rankings with 665 rating points.
Ravi has 699 points, seven more than Rashid Khan, who is second on the list with 692 points. The 23-year-old has played in 21 T20Is and taken 34 wickets. Ravi is considered India's top spinner in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in West Indies and USA.
Bishnoi will be in action in the three-match T20I series against South Africa starting December 10. As for other players, Suryakumar Yadav, who had an average series against Australia, continues to be the No. 1 T20I batter with 855 points.
Among batsmen, Ruturaj Gaikwad has managed to maintain his place in the top 10 of the ICC rankings. The right-handed batsman, who scored his maiden T20I century during the series, is currently the No.7 T20I batsman in the world. With 223 runs from 5 games, Gaikwad finished the series as the top run-scorer. He was the only player to score more than 150 runs in the series.
Suryakumar Yadav, who led the team in the series, is at the top of the ICC rankings for T20I batsmen with 855 rating points, followed by Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan with 787 rating points. Aiden Markram, Babar Azam and Rilee Rossouw complete the top. Yashasvi Jaiswal has also made significant progress, moving up 16 places to 19th.
Among all-rounders, Axar Patel has broken into the top 20 and is currently in 14th place. The list is led by Bangladesh star Shakib Al Hasan, followed by Mohammad Nabi, Hardik Pandya, Aiden Markram and Marcus Stoinis.
