Delhi Capitals (DC) bowler Rasikh Salam received criticism for violating the IPL Code of Conduct on Wednesday night at the Arun Jaitley Stadium during Match 40 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 against the Gujarat Titans.
Rasikh committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.5 of the IPL's Code of Conduct. This deals with "using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from another player."
"Dar committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.5 of the IPL's Code of Conduct. He admitted to the offence and accepted the match referee's sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee's decision is final and binding," the IPL said in a statement on Thursday.

Rasikh shined in DC's exciting four-run win over GT. Three key wickets of Sai Sudarshan, Shahrukh Khan, and Sai Kishore cost 44 runs. Rasikh received the 19th over from the captain with 37 runs needed. The right-arm pacer conceded 18 runs but was able to dismiss Sai Kishore with the last delivery.
