Victoria beat Rangpur Riders by 10 runs on Sunday (December 1) at Providence Stadium, Guyana. Blake MacDonald's superb 40 off 29 balls and Scott Edwards unbeaten 30* off 17 balls helped them get to a competitive 151 on the board. In reply, Callum Stow's three wickets and Max Birthisel's two wickets helped them get a scratchy 10-run victory.

Being inserted to bat first, Victoria had a terrific start. Their openers had a solid show and raced away with 70 off 8.6 overs with a superb display of power hitting. Rishad Hossain removed Blake MacDoland for 40 off 29 balls. And then Joe Clarke's sedate innings of 32 off 31 too came to an end.

And then there was a surge of wickets, Victoria lost some key wickets at the middle. But wicketkeeper batter Scott Edwards stood tall and scored an unbeaten 30* off 17 deliveries to help his side get to a competitive 151 on the board.

In reply, Rangpur Riders had a flying start as Steven Taylor and Soumya Sarkar teared Victoria apart to race to 51 off only 4.4 overs. Max Birthsiel removed Taylor on 26, but Soumya notched up a calculative 51 off 42 balls. But the departure of Soumya saw Rangpur Riders were tumbling infront of Callum Stow and Max Birthsiel.

However, these twos superb efforts helped Victoria have a 10-run narrow victory.
