In a commanding display at the ongoing National Cricket League (NCL), Rajshahi Division secured a six-wicket win over Barishal Division, thanks to a stunning bowling performance from Sanzamul Islam, who claimed six wickets in Barishal's second innings, bundling them out for a mere 137 runs. Chasing a modest target, Rajshahi comfortably reached the goal with four wickets down.

Barishal began the fourth day with 10 runs on the board, but early in the day, they were quickly cornered by the disciplined bowling of Walid and Sanzamul. Barishal crumbled to 33/4 under relentless pressure. The only significant resistance came from a 34-run stand between Tasamul Haque and Adil Bin Siddique. However, Walid dismissed Adil, breaking the partnership and leaving Tasamul as Barishal’s last hope. Tasamul managed a fighting 46 off 61 balls, while Tanveer chipped in with 21 off 18. But none of Barishal’s batsmen could counter Rajshahi's bowlers, and they were eventually bowled out in 50.1 overs.

In response, Rajshahi, having earned a 70-run lead from the first innings, needed just 67 runs to seal the victory. Despite losing four wickets, they reached the target in just 15 overs, scoring 68 runs. Kamrul Islam Rabbi picked up two wickets for Barishal, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Rajshahi from achieving a comfortable win.

Rajshahi had taken control earlier in the match when they posted 275 in their first innings in response to Barishal’s 205, securing a decisive lead. Sanzamul’s exceptional bowling in the second innings was pivotal, ensuring Rajshahi's dominant position and ultimately sealing their six-wicket win.
