Jake Matthew Fraser-McGurk born 11 April 2002 is an Australian cricketer. He made his first-class debut on 12 November 2019, for Victoria in the 2019–20 Sheffield Shield.
Personal Life
Fraser-McGurk grew up in the Melbourne suburb of Mont Albert and attended Carey Baptist Grammar School until the end of the tenth grade. He completed his last two years of school at SEDA College.
He started playing junior cricket at the Boroondara Cricket Club at the age of 9.
Cricket Career
He made his List A debut on 17 November 2019 for Victoria in the 2019–20 Marsh One-Day Cup. He scored fifty on his first-class, List A and IPL debuts.
In December 2019, he was named in Australia's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. However, he had to leave the tournament early after being scratched by a monkey during a team trip to a nature reserve. He made his Twenty20 debut on 12 December 2020 for the Melbourne Renegades in the 2020–21 Big Bash League season. On 8 October 2023, he scored the fastest hundred on the list off 29 balls, surpassing AB de Villiers' previous record of 31 balls.
In IPL 2024, Fraser-McGurk played for Delhi Capitals. On his debut he scored 55 out of 35 points against LSG. He finished the season with 330 runs in 9 innings at a strike rate of 234 and hit 32 fours and 28 sixes. There was some speculation as to whether he would be selected for the 2024 T20 World Cup, but he did not make the squad. However, he was added as a traveling reserve along with Matthew Short.
