Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced a pre-season fitness camp and training camp for Pakistan Shaheens at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi. The pre-season camp will be held from June 24 to July 7 and will feature 25 cricketers. Following the camp, a 15-member Pakistan Shaheen squad will be selected for a training camp from July 8-13 before departing for Darwin, Australia.

In Darwin, Pakistan Shaheens will play a two-match four-day series against Bangladesh ‘A’, two 50-over matches against Northern Territory and Bangladesh ‘A’ and participate in the nine-team Top End T20 Series.

Pakistan red-ball head coach Jason Gillespie will supervise the Pakistan Shaheens’ training camp and travel with the team to Darwin for the four-day matches. He will return to Pakistan after the second four-day match to focus on the national team's preparations for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.

National team players currently playing in the UK and those who participated in the recent ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be exempt from the pre-season camp.
