The day three of the second Test has been abandoned due to heavy rain in Kanpur. 35 overs were bowled on the first day and second day saw a complete washout, so is the third day.
Not even a single ball was bowled in the day as the umpires called stumps. There was no rain throughout the day but had drizzles with but wet outfield. Three super soppers were in action but to no avail. The forecast isn't great tomorrow either but will be better than today.
There were drizzles from the morning but wet outfield didn’t bring the play on the right time as well. It is expected to have some play on the third day, as three more days to go in this Test match.
Bangladesh are currently on 107-3 with Mominul Haque standing tall on 40* off 81 deliveries, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto although got a start but couldn’t make his innings to a longer one as he departed after scoring 31.
Bangladesh need to bat longer to give a solid statement to India's questions.
India are already ahead in the series as they crashed Bangladesh by 280 runs in the first Test and this is the second Test match ongoing.
