India have thumped Bangladesh by 86 runs on Wednesday (October 9) in Delhi and taken the series with one game to go. Youngster Nitish Reddy's sensational 74 off only 34 deliveries, along with Rinku Singh's 53 off 29 balls helped India post a gigantic total of 221. In reply, Bangladesh once again succumbed to the Indian bowlers and lost the match by 86 runs.

Being asked to bat first, India had a horrible start as Taskin Ahmed and Tanzim Hasan Sakib had a very decent start with the new ball and picked up the wickets of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma. Mustafizur Rahman then removed skipper Suryakumar Yadav and India were in all sorts of trouble, stuttering on 41-3.

And then Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh started to stitch a partnership. The duo hammered the Bangladeshi bowlers ins and outs, especially the spinners and added 108 runs in fourth wicket stand before Mustafizur removed the former one after his blistering 74 off just 34 balls.

After the fall of Nitish, Rinku Singh brought up his fifty and made a solid 53 off 29 balls. At the tad backend of the innings, Hardik Pandya blasted a quick-fire 32 off 19 balls and helped India post a massive 221 on the board.

In reply, Bangladesh never were in the chase. The top four flopped horribly once again. Indian spinners ran riot through the Bangladeshi middle order. However, veteran batter Mahmudullah Riyad stood amid the collapse, although his innings was impactless in a big chase like this as he made only 41 off 39 balls. And ultimately Bangladesh managed to get only 135 runs and lost the match by 86 runs.
