New Zealand 'A' team have postponed the Bangladesh tour due to travel restrictions. Bangladesh already lost the rights of hosting ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 due to the political unrest. A source from BCB has ensured BDCricTime. The tour was set to happen at the backend of September.
Due to the political unrest in Bangladesh and the July movement, many countries have restricted to travel in Bangladesh. New Zealand is one of those countries to restrict the tour.
New Zealand would have landed in Bangladesh on September 28 and was about to play two four-day Test matches at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium and Sheikh Kamal International Stadium. Also the teams were set to play a three-match List-A series.
Before this tour cancellation, Bangladesh were thumped back as the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 also was shifted to the UAE amid the political unrest.
In the movement of Sheikh Hasina regime oust, many countries have restricted to travel to Bangladesh and now the BCB and its teams getting the negative results.
However, Bangladesh Men's are currently in Pakistan for a two-match Test series as the first Test commenced already from August 21 at the Rawalpindi, with Pakistan in the driver's seat on the marathon hundreds from Mohammad Rizwan and vice-captain Saud Shakeel.
