Australian fast bowler Nathan Ellis has been ruled out of the UK tour. Ellis sustained a hamstring injury while playing for London Spirit in The Hundred 2024, resulting in this setback.

Ellis' Tasmanian teammate Riley Meredith has been added as the replacement of Ellis in the upcoming three-match T20I series against England, starting from September 11. Ellis missed the first T20I against Scotland in Edinburgh due to injury, where Travis Head's whirlwind 80 off only 25 deliveries pulverized Scotland to go 1-0 up the series. However, the replacement of the five-match ODI series is yet to be named.
This is a big blow for Ellis as he was keen to establish himself as the first pick for Aussie T20I lineup. Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc opted out from T20I series and Ellis would have been in the XI.
