Naseem Shah denies injury rumours, says he's fit

Colombo Strikers pacer Naseem Shah did not play in the important last match in the Lanka Premier League (LPL). After the start of the match, the news came out that he didn’t play due to injury.
The match against Galle Titans was crucial for Colombo. The equation was- the winner of the match would qualify for the playoffs and the losing team would eliminate from the tournament. But Colombo played without Naseem in that match.
The news came out in Cricket Pakistan that Naseem was injured. This news left Pakistani fans worried. But Naseem himself informed about his latest position. In an interview given to Samaa TV, Naseem said that he rested in the last match on Babar's advice.
"There is no injury or anything like that. I have been playing a lot of cricket recently, including the Sri Lanka Tests and back-to-back matches [in the LPL]. In this weather, it is very tiring, so some rest was needed. Babar also said that it would be better to take some rest because we have important matches coming up,” Naseem said.
Pakistan will start their Asia Cup 2023 campaign against Nepal on August 30.
