Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim praises pacer Mustafizur Rahman highly after his match-winning bowling performance against USA in the third T20I on Saturday (May 25).

To avoid the whitewash, Bangladesh needed a win and pacer Mustafizur Rahman came up with his career best T20I bowling figure, where he picked up 6 wickets after giving away just 10 runs in 4 overs including a maiden. In reply, the opening duo of Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Soumya Sarkar string a hundred run partnership together to blow away USA in the third T20I. This was Bangladesh's first-ever 10-wicket win in T20Is.

"He (Mustafizur) is a world-class bowler," Tanzid said in a press conference after the match. “He plays in IPL and franchise leagues. As a result, he is a very experienced cricketer. Very happy for him. He becomes the player of the match, player of the series. He is a top-class bowler.”

Tanzid added, “He bowled very well. He read the wicket very well. We all know he is a master of cutters. He has been able to use his cutter on the wicket here.”

However, Bangladesh lost the series 2-1. Bangladesh will take the field against Sri Lanka in their first match in the T20 World Cup on June 8.
