Sri Lankan bowler Matheesha Pathirana will miss the third and final T20I against Bangladesh which will held on 9th March at Sylhet international Cricket stadium, Sylhet. The series is nicely poised as the scorecard is 1-1, the third T20I will decide the fate of the series.

Matheesha Pathirana who was the highest wicket-taker of the ongoing series is set to miss the decider as he's diagnosed with Grade 1 hamstring on his left leg. He suffered the injury during the second T20I, in where Sri Lanka were hammered by Bangladesh by a massive margin of 8 wickets and 11 balls to spare.

Nuwan Thushara might replace Pathirana, while Sri Lankan full time skipper Wanindu Hasaranga to return to the side after his two match suspension from ICC. Hasaranga missed the first two T20I's of the series due to his suspension, but now he's all cleared from it and ready to have a crack at international arena once again.

With the hamstring injury of Pathirana and the return of their regular skipper Wanindu Hasaranga, it's expected that Sri Lanka will have several changes. But Bangladesh might go with their winning combination. So Sylhet is all set for a cracking finish of the series.
