Zimbabweans in delights after a fall of wicket

Zimbabwe hosted Logan Cup, country's top first-class tournament, last month and were set to host a T20 competition this month. The government imposed curfew amid spike in COVID-19 cases. Reports say Zimbabwe have had 1,342 new cases and 29 deaths in one week. As of now, there are 2,751 active COVID cases in the country. Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed postponement of cricketing events in a release saying, "This is a very challenging situation, but ZC's aim is to reschedule all the affected events and fixtures - including the elite men's domestic T20 competition which was scheduled to begin this Monday - for them to be played as soon as it is deemed safe to do so." Zimbabwe had to postpone home series against Ireland, Afghanistan, India and Netherlands in 2020. As per the FTP (Future Tours Programme), they are scheduled to host Pakistan (two Tests and three T20Is in April), Bangladesh (two Tests, three ODIs and T20Is apiece in June-July) and Afghanistan (one Test, three ODIs and two T20Is in November-December) this year. An away series (at neutral venue) against Afghanistan, comprising of two Tests and three T20Is, is scheduled to start in late January. Zimbabwe however toured Pakistan for three ODIs and three T20Is in October-November. They famously won the third ODI in Super Over to obtain ten Super League points.
