It is no secret that Arun Jaitley, who was 66, had an in-depth connection with cricket administration and even served as the president of the DDCA for over a decade.
Meanwhile, Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir Gambhir was indeed pleased with the decision to name the stadium after the late Arun Jaitley.
He emphasised that it was Arun Jaitley who had given Delhi a world-class stadium and added that the renaming should have been actually done when the man was 'alive' as that would have been a fitting gift for him.
The renaming is expected to take place at a ceremony in September where a stand in the stadium will be named after current
