Josh Hull, who turned 20-year old last month will make his debut for England at Kennington Oval in the third Test against Sri Lanka.
Josh Hull's first class record has been poor, picking up 16 wickets at an average of 62.75. He has only taken two wickets in three Championship games this season, but showcased an ability to push the speed gun up towards 90mph. His capability to bowl at great speed gives him the nod. He was added in the squad following Mark Wood's thigh injury.
England's XI for third Test against Sri Lanka :
1. Dan Lawrence, 2. Ben Duckett, 3. Ollie Pope (C), 4. Joe Root, 5. Harry Brook, 6. Jamie Smith (Wicket-keeper), 7. Chris Woakes, 8. Gus Atkinson, 9. Olly Stone, 10. Josh Hull, 11. Shoaib Bashir.
Ollie Pope will lead the side once again but the captain is having a lean patch, scoring only 30 runs in 4 innings. Shoaib Bashir will lead the spinning department, while Gus Atkinson will do the job in pace department. The hopes and stakes will be high from Atkinson after his hundred and fifer show at the Lord's.
England have already pocketed the series and will be eyeing for a complete whitewash.
