Australia fast bowler Jhye Richardson recently dislocated his shoulder, which is the latest setback in a string of ailments that have plagued Richardson. During the second XI match between South Australia and Western Australia in Adelaide, the pacer for Western Australia had an injury while playing in the field.

Richardson was getting ready to play in the Sheffield Shield again for Western Australia this week, also against South Australia at Adelaide Oval. He had successfully returned from surgery on his leg earlier this month in the Marsh Cup.

After being out for nine months because of surgery on his hamstring, Richardson came back for WA in the Marsh One-Day Cup on October 9 and took 2–36.

"Scans on Jhye Richardson's right shoulder which was dislocated in the second XI match last Tuesday have cleared him from any major structural damage. As a nationally contracted player, WA Cricket is working with Cricket Australia to determine his return to play,” WA said in a statement.

Richardson has suffered a string of unfortunate injuries over the past few years. Injuries to his shoulder, hamstring, and heel have restricted him to only three of a possible 40 Tests and 19 of a potential 128 limited-overs matches for Australia since he first took the new ball in a Test in January 2019.
