Pace bowler Jhye Richardson has been added to the Australia ODI squad for the upcoming three-match series against South Africa beginning on Saturday in Boland Park, Paarl. Cricket Australia (CA) has confirmed the news on Wednesday. The 23-year-old was originally named only in the T20I squad. He has not played any international cricket for the Aussies for 11 months after suffering a serious shoulder injury after the series against Pakistan last March. The dislocated shoulder kept Richardson away from last year's World Cup in England, but he was recalled for the T20I series against South Africa which ends Wednesday. "He has slotted back into the T20 squad in South Africa and is pushing for a place in that side. Keeping him in South Africa with the one-day squad gives us another exceptional fast bowler who is ready to go," said national selector Trevor Hohns. Curiously, however, Richardson did not make the cut for the squad announced Wednesday for the three-game series against the Kiwis in Australia starting March 13. The three-match ODI series between Australia and New Zealand will roll onto the ground in Sydney on March 13.
