It's really about Indian cricket, not who the coach is: Sanjay Manjrekar
Manjrekar, on the other hand, said that the success or failure of a team is entirely dependent on Indian cricket and how it is played.

Manjrekar, on the other hand, said that the success or failure of a team is entirely dependent on Indian cricket and how it is played.
India overcame their 11-year ICC title drought and won the T20 World Cup 2024 title in Barbados under Rahul Dravid's guidance. Manjrekar wants the players, not the coach, to be the center of attention as Gambhir attempts to assemble a team capable of competing against other elite teams in the world at the ICC Champions Trophy (2025), ICC World Test Championship final (2025), and the 2027 ODI World Cup.
In advance of the opening T20 International match against Sri Lanka, where Team India's Gambhir would start his second innings, Manjrekar expressed his opinions on social media on Saturday (July 27).
"No coach, Lalchand Rajput, Gary Kirsten & Dravid. Coaches when India won WCs in 1983, 2007, 2011 & 2023. It's really about Indian cricket, not who the coach is. Time we stop thinking there is a direct correlation," Manjrekar wrote on X.
