Indonesian teenage offspinner Rohmalia set a new world record for the best bowling figures in women's T20I cricket on Wednesday. She took 7 wickets for 0 runs against Mongolia in their fifth T20I in Bali. The fact that she achieved this on her international debut made it even more remarkable.

Rohmalia surpassed the previous record set by Netherlands seamer Frederique Overdijk, who had claimed 7 wickets for 3 runs against France in a T20 World Cup Europe Region Qualifier back in 2021. She now joins Overdijk and Argentina's Alison Stocks as the third bowler in women's T20Is to have taken seven wickets in a single match. Stocks achieved the feat with figures of 7 for 3 against Peru.

On Wednesday, Indonesia scored 151 for 5, led by opener Ni Putu Ayu Nanda Sakarini's 61 runs. In response, Mongolia were all out for 24. Rohmalia took a wicket with her first ball and bowled a total of just 3.2 overs without conceding a run. She dismissed seven batters without even conceding a single run.
