India have fetched in Harshit Rana for the third and final Test match against New Zealand, commences from November 1 in Mumbai. He was among the three uncapped players in India's 18-men squad for Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

It is not clear that if he's brought in as an injury cover or not. But he was in the squad as reserves for the first two Test matches. However, last week, he was released from the squad to play in the third round of the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy, where he shone both with bat and ball in Delhi's first win of the season.

Rana picked up a five-wicket haul in the first innings against Assam, while also smashing a quick-fire 58 after coming at No.4.

Siraj, Akash Deep, Washington Sundar, Harshit Rana.

India have already lost the Test series by 2-0 and maximum they can have is having a consolation victory in the final Test match. This was their first Test series defeat at home after almost 12 years and 18 Test series.
