Bangladesh young opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim says that they couldn’t execute their plans in the previous two matches against USA which cost them both the matches.

To avoid the whitewash, Bangladesh needed a win and pacer Mustafizur Rahman came up with his career best T20I bowling figure, where he picked up 6 wickets after giving away just 10 runs in 4 overs including a maiden. In reply, the opening duo of Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Soumya Sarkar string a hundred run partnership together to blow away USA in the third T20I. This was Bangladesh's first-ever 10-wicket win in T20Is.

In the first two matches, Bangladesh lost the first match by 5 wickets and the second match by 6 runs.

In the post-match press conference, Tanzid said, “Actually there was nothing like what you said about travel fatigue or over-playing. We got enough rest. We have been able to make good use of the benefits of practice and have been able to prepare. In the first two matches, we could not execute our plan. In today's match, we were unable to execute the plan wherever we needed. We lost because We weren’t able to execute the plan in the previous two matches.”

“Actually, what I said earlier, we could not implement our plan. In the first match we needed 54 runs in 4 overs (actually 55) where our bowlers failed to defend. We didn't bowl the way we should have done. In the next match we needed fewer runs off fewer balls but we lost wickets. Overall, we lost two matches because none of us could play the way our team was supposed to play,” added Tanzid.
