The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will take place in Bali, Indonesia. Where several important decisions will be made. ACC president and BCCI secretary Jay Shah are expected to be present along with all the members on January 31. 

The popular cricket website Cricbuzz has published a report with detailed information about this ACC meeting. AGM news is known from there. According to Cricbuzz, Jay Shah will be the focus of everyone's interest in this meeting for several reasons.

Cricbuzz also reported that a decision on ACC's broadcasting rights may be taken in the meeting. ACC's biggest tournament is the Asia Cup, ACC's broadcasting is very important in the cricket world, especially in Asian cricket. As a result, there may be a lot of competition to buy the rights. For the last 8 years, this responsibility was with Disney Star. However, as the demand for sports in India has increased tremendously, it has become difficult to predict who will buy the rights this time. ACC has invited all major broadcasters for dinner on January 30.

Besides, the venue of the next Asia Cup may also be decided in this meeting. According to Cricbuzz, this tournament is going to be organized in a T20 format. UAE and Oman are being discussed as hosts. The 6-team Asia Cup was organized in the hybrid model in Pakistan and Sri Lanka last year.

However, there is some doubt here. Organizing the Asia Cup in associate countries is not in ACC rules. According to the rules, the Asia Cup should be organized in any full-member country. However, the 2018 ODI and 2022 T20 format Asia Cup were held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with India and Sri Lanka as the main hosts respectively. India are the current champions of the Asia Cup. 

Jay Shah is currently the president of ACC. Although the election of the president is not on the agenda, this issue may be discussed in the meeting, according to the Cricbuzz report. A representative of a full member country is appointed to chair the ACC every two years. Joy is currently in the middle of his second two-year term. However, there are rumors surrounding Jay Shah about going to the post of ICC president. If he wants to go there, he will have to leave the position of ACC, and as a result new leadership and, new president will come. Therefore, the election of the president of the ACC may come up for discussion.
