Kolkata Knight Riders have beaten Sunrisers Hyderabad by 4 runs on Saturday (23rd March) at Eden Gardens. Andre Russell's monstrous 64 off 25 decimated Heinrich Klassen's long hand 63 off 29 balls. Harshit Rana in the last over defended 13 runs to give KKR a thrilling win over SRH. 

Earlier, SRH skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bowl first. Being inserted to bat first, KKR lost Sunil Narine earlier on for a freak run out. Phil Salt teed off SRH bowler as he smacked three sixes off Merco Jansen's single over.

But things changed immediately as KKR lost some quick wickets. Their skipper Shreyas Iyer had a two ball duck. While Venkatesh Iyer also failed. At one point they were crumbling on 119-6.

And then Andre Russell arrived at the crease. He smoked the SRH bowlers everywhere of the park and blazed a quick-fire fifty. His tornado of a knock became more turbulent when he plundered Bhuvneshwar Kumar for 26 off a single over to take KKR over 200 mark barrier.
KKR posted 208 runs after alloted 20 overs. Andre Russell was unbeaten with his monstrous 64 from just 25 balls, while Rinku Singh aided him with 23 off 15 balls.

In reply, SRH started off to a flier. Courtesy their openers Abhishek Sharma and Mayank Agarwal. The duo added 60 runs off 5 overs before Harshit Rana removed Agarwal. Russell came with the ball and immediately had impact as he got the wicket of settled batter Abhishek for 32 off 19 balls.

However they had a collapse at their middle order. They needed 60 runs off last 3 over. Heinrich Klassen Shahbaz Ahmed smacked 21 off Varun Chakravarthy's over and the deficit was reduced to 39 off last two over.

Klassen was teeing off and Starc came to bowl the penultimate over, but there was no stopping for Klassen as he ransacked Starc for 3 sixes off a single over and plundered for 26 off the over to came down to 13 off the last over.

Klaasen had no mercy as he smacked with utter disdain off Harshit Rana's first delivery. But Harshit brought things in the next few deliveries by picking up the wickets of both Klaasen and Shahbaz Ahmed. SRH needed 5 off the last delivery and they couldn’t chase it.
