There have been whispers about potential transfers amongst some of the franchises, and if the rumours are to be believed, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Glenn Maxwell will be leaving the team after unfollowing them on Instagram.

The upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction has cast doubt on Glenn Maxwell's future with RCB. An important acquisition for RCB was Maxwell, who was bought for 14.25 Crores in the 2021 auction.

Maxwell is a reliable performer for Australia in white-ball cricket but he has failed to live up to expectations in the lucrative league, leading some of his former teammates to accuse him of being the most overrated player in the history of the competition.

During his stellar performance in 2023, Glenn Maxwell scored four hundred runs in just fourteen innings for Bengaluru at a strike rate of 183.49.

Unfortunately, he was unable to maintain his form in the 2024 IPL season, appearing in just 10 games and scoring 52 runs.

He stepped away from the game for a bit to recharge his mind, but he eventually came back. The RCB paid a significant price for putting their faith in Maxwell because he was unable to help them win the title.

Fans started speculating on Tuesday that Maxwell was planning to quit the RCB camp after sharing Instagram pictures showing the Australian player unfollowing the team.
