Kiwi explosive opener Finn Allen will join Perth Scorchers for a two-year deal after turning down his national contract with the Blackcaps.
Finn AllenFinn Allen is the third Kiwi to sign a multi-year contract ahead of the September 1 KFC BBL|14 overseas players draft, he joined the veteran superstars : Colin Munro (Brisbane Heat), Tim Seifert (Melbourne Renegades).
The youngster has represented New Zealand for 47 times in T20I Cricket, scoring 1141 runs at an average of 24.28 and a jaw dropping strike rate of 158.69. He bludgeoned 2 massive hundreds and has 4 fifties to his name in T20I's.
However, Allen had a horrendous campaign in T20 World Cup 2024, where New Zealand saw early elimination from after shockingly losing to Afghanistan and the hosts West Indies. But he had a tremendous season in Major League Cricket 2024 for the runners-up San Francisco, hammering a 53-ball 103 in the knockout phase, as well as two half-centuries in the regular season to finish with 306 runs striking at 187.73 for the tournament.

Finn Allen recently turned down his central contract with NZC following the footsteps of previous Kiwis Trent Boult, Jimmy Neesham and Martin Guptil. Along with Allen, Devon Conway also had a casual playing agreement with NZC as the left-handed dynamic opener will join Johannesburg Super Kings in the next year's SA20.
