Fast bowlers set to dominate Jamaica Test between West Indies and Bangladesh
The Jamaica Test is shaping up to be another battle of the quicks. In Antigua, both West Indies and Bangladesh pacers found success, exploiting the conditions effectively. The green pitch at Jamaica’s Sabina Park, coupled with consistent rain, promises an even livelier contest for the fast bowlers.

After a pace-dominated Antigua Test, the spotlight remains firmly on the fast bowlers as the West Indies and Bangladesh prepare for the second and final Test in Jamaica. With weather conditions and a green pitch favoring seam and swing, fast bowlers from both sides are expected to play a decisive role.
Speaking about the conditions in Jamaica, West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite shared his observations: "This is a completely different ground. The pitch has a lot of grass, and there’s significant moisture due to frequent rain. It’s a fresh start for us."
Acknowledging the importance of pace in this Test, Brathwaite added: "It seems evident that the pacers will dominate. It’s crucial to bowl well, grab every catch, and score runs to put up a competitive total on the board."
Unlike the first Test, where the playing XI was announced early, Brathwaite chose to keep the final lineup under wraps ahead of the second Test.
"I have full faith in our fast bowlers. I’m excited to see how they perform here. We’ve named a 12-member squad for this match, and the final XI will be picked from this group," said the skipper.

For Bangladesh, this Test represents an opportunity to bounce back and find stability against West Indies’ fiery bowling attack. Meanwhile, the hosts are eager to deliver another commanding performance and clinch the series.
