The England and Wales Cricket Board may enter into a legal battle with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to determine the way World Test Championship points to be allocated after the postponement of the two Test series amidst coronavirus scare world wide.

England to avoid handshakes in Sri Lanka

A potential reshuffle of the fixture which might be on January next year is considered but that schedule would also be tight for England who would tour India in the second half of that month for a series comprised of five Test matches. Prior to that, England will also face South Africa for five limited over matches as well.

Next there will be T20 World Cup which means the winter will also be occupied.

The World Test Championship (WTC) points will be allocated for their deferred series if the two boards fail to advance the two Test matches.
