Russel Domingo, on his arrival as Bangladesh head coach, have opted for a drastic change in the way of training whether it be batting, bowling or fielding. Sri Lanka wanted Russell Domingo

Apparently, the newly appointed coach insisted upon physical stamina through inducing longer spells of training with the help of bowling consultant Charl Langeveldt and fielding coach Ryan Cook. In his talk of terms, Domingo said he wants to assure 'Bangladesh cricketers fit in the storm' as he started the skill training with all 35 selected players for the preliminary squad for Afghanistan series. Domingo said as quoted by Cricbuzz, "Ryan normally turns his works into energy. Charl with the expectations from the bowlers, he has been very demanding. We want to maintain the high intensity in the practice sessions and workload that we expecting from the players.

"We want to make sure they fit in the storm. And I think there is an area we can improve, the bowler's fitness level."

Bangladesh, having been lacking in pace bowling efficiency since ages, failed to produce any genuine pacer over the time. Domingo insisted particularly upon physical fitness and endurance of fast bowlers.

"With the fitness aspect, it is always a concern, particularly for the fast bowlers. It's non-negotiable as far as we are concerned," Domingo said.

"The best fast bowlers in the world are able to bowl 18-22 overs at the same pace in a day. I am not sure any young fast bowlers are capable of doing that.

"That work is still in progress but there has been some good progress made in last two weeks. I want them to bowl in the second and third spell with the same pace and particular area and that's where we are working for last two weeks," he added.

Bangladesh cricketers are also hoping to enjoy new freshness and vitality from the Domingo initiated training procedure.
