Chattogram Division emerged victorious with an emphatic eight-wicket win over Barishal Division in the National Cricket League (NCL), powered by a stellar century from Shahadat Hossain Dipu and an exceptional 10-wicket haul across two innings by Ashraful Hasan Rohan, who earned the Man of the Match honor.

Chattogram began Day 3 on 203/3, with Yasir Ali tantalizingly close to a century, falling just one run short on 99 after facing 149 deliveries and hitting seven fours and four sixes. Yasir was eventually dismissed by Tanvir Islam. However, Shahadat Hossain Dipu managed to reach his century, crafting a disciplined 116 from 249 balls, including 10 fours, before also falling to Tanvir. Shamim Hossain contributed a steady 21, but the remainder of the lineup couldn’t add substantial runs, leaving Chattogram all out for 313. Barishal gained a narrow six-run lead going into their second innings.

For Barishal, Tanvir picked up four wickets, while Ruyel Miah and Sohag Gazi added three and two wickets, respectively.

In their second innings, Barishal’s batting crumbled, with only two players managing to reach double digits. Fazle Mahmud led with a quick 33 from 26 balls, while Iftikhar Hossain scored 12 off 54 deliveries. The team lost four batters for ducks and was ultimately bowled out for a paltry 77.

Ashraful Hasan Rohan spearheaded Chattogram's attack, taking six wickets for just 22 runs in 8.3 overs, while spinner Nayeem Hasan claimed three wickets, crippling Barishal's lineup.

Chattogram needed only 83 runs to secure victory. Although they lost two wickets early, Parvez Hossain Emon and Nayeem Hasan anchored the chase. Emon scored an unbeaten 46 off 30 balls, and Nayeem contributed a solid 30 from 31 deliveries, sealing Chattogram’s dominant win by eight wickets.
