A cricket fan died during a violent argument between fans during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Kolhapur.
Tibile (the victim) celebrated Rohit's wicket falling during SRH's match against MI in Hyderabad on Wednesday of last week. This led to an argument and physical conflict between the two groups in Hanmantwadi, a village in Kolhapur district, Maharashtra.
According to NDTV MI supporters, Balwant and his nephew Sagar allegedly hit Tibile, a CSK fan, with a wooden board and a stick. This resulted in severe injuries, and the victim was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to the injuries on March 31 despite receiving treatment. The two suspects have been arrested, and the Karveer Police have taken them into custody after Tibile died.
