Crawley - Root give solid reply to Pakistan's gigantic total

England have given a solid reply to Pakistan's mountainous runs. Zak Crawley's 64* off 64 and Joe Root's 32* off 54 helped England finish the day on 96-1 in reply to Pakistan's gigantic 556 runs.
Crawley and Root's 92* run stand gives England solid platform in the Multan Test.
The day started with Saud Shakeel smashing a fantastic 82, partnering up with Naseem Shah, who also scored 33 off 81 deliveries. After the departure of these two, Agha Salman took the the onus on his shoulders, who hammered a sensational century partnering up with the lower order. He scored a glorious 104* off only 119 balls. Shaheen Shah Afridi also contributed with 26 off 49 balls and Pakistan posted 556 runs on the board.
Jack Leach was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 3 wickets to his name. Gus Atkinson and Brydon Carse shared two wickets each.
In reply, Naseem Shah removed England's captain Ollie Pope for a two-ball duck. And then Zak Crawley and Joe Root strung together for a fine partnership. The duo added 92* runs under England's belt before the stumps and both are remained unbeaten.
England are 460 runs behind of Pakistan and they've still their main batting arsenal to come. Root is on 32* and Crawley is on 64*. England need to prolong this partnership, while Pakistan need to keep searching for wickets.
