When he got out, he was wearing Adelaide Striker’s trousers. Although in the big bash he will be playing for Melbourne Renegades. With wonderful bowling and captaincy he won the match for Legends of Rupganj. After the match, Shakib Al Hasan shared a few words about yesterdays match and thrills of the big bash.   How big of a relief is this win for you guys? Shakib Al Hasan : If we lost today (yesterday) we would not be in the competition anymore. We still have glimpse of hope after this win. Point different is not much as well. Super league teams are perfectly matched and therefore every team can defeat each other. If we perform consistently, and win the next three matches, we may become champion, who knows. At least we will have chances of becoming runners up. We will try our best. How exciting it is to play the big bash again? Shakib :  Ofocurse it is exciting. Firstly I would like to thank BCB. And more importantly I would thank Nazmul Hassan Papon. I told him, if I got NOC now still I would get into a team. He believed in me. With these I would also like to thank my agent or manager as well. Getting into a team in this short period of time is not an easy task. I think I was lucky. I can play in many different fields. I can also adjust with the atmosphere. This is one the best preparations before the world cup. You have played in many different T-20 leagues. Is big bash still different? Shakib : Big bash is of course more different and much harder. Between the different T-20 leagues I think big bash will be in the top. Performing well in this tournament is a challenge for me. And this league is the most important for the world cup as well. If I perform well in the big bash I can have self confidence in me going to the world cup. Are you prepared for taking the challenge? Shakib : If I think I will be relaxed in the premier league matches, it is not possible. Professional cricketers cannot stay relaxed in any form of matches and in any league. Challenge is the fun of cricket. If there is no challenge, then the game is not fun anymore. You are going only for four matches, how much impact will it have? What do you think? Shakib : I can practice 20 days there, that is a very big achievement for me. I will of course try my best to perform well in the matches. But this is cricket, an unpredictable game. Practice sessions will be very crucial for me. I can learn a lot of things within 20 days. Most importantly, as they play there, they know how to play there and how to gain success. I can learn these and make this useful and effective for us. If I practice there with Bangladesh squad I will not learn much as I will learn practicing with them. I can also share the experience with my team which will help my team at the end of the day.  Therefore you can take class on Australian condition before the world cup…. Shakib : Taking class is not that important. Usually what happens, when we go to play outside our country we gather information about different places, how the condition is, how is the pitch and different things. We set our plans according to it. If the information is got from any of us, then it is better. In Renegades there is, Finch, Siddle, Wade, Farguson, Pattinson as your team mates. Do you know them personally? Shakib : The 2 foreigners they have in their team now, I have good relationship with them. Andre Russel is my team mate in IPL as well and I have played with him in BPL too. I know few Australian players personally. But, these are not important. Adjusting wouldn’t be a problem. Tamim is also in Melbourne right now for his knee operation…. Shakib : I will meet with him. If he gives his number, then we can talk and we will meet up for sure. As I am going to Melbourne for the first time, I hope we can meet.
