International Cricket Council (ICC) Chairman Greg Barclay will visit Pakistan for a two-day tour on May 30 alongside Chief Executive Officer Geoff Allardice.

International Cricket Council (ICC) Chairman Greg Barclay and Board Chairman Geoff Allardice will visit Pakistan on May 30 (Tuesday) for a two-day visit.

This will be Barclay's first visit to Pakistan, according to a press release from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He will also be the first ICC chair to tour the country since former President Ray Mali's visit in 2008.

According to report, the duo will reach Pakistan on Tuesday morning and meet with PCB Management Committee Chief Executive Najam Sethi, PCB Chief Operating Officer Barrister Salman Naseer and other board members. The committee will also discuss the future of the 2023 Asian Cup and learn about Pakistan's decision to participate in the ODI World Cup.

"While Mr Allardice has visited Pakistan regularly, first as ICC Director General - Cricket and then as ICC Chief Executive, this will be Mr Barclay's first visit to Pakistan," the PCB media release said on Sunday.

“Mr Barclay will be the first ICC Chairperson to visit Pakistan since ICC President Ray Mali's visit in 2008. This will also be the first time since October 2004 that the two senior ICC officials will visit Pakistan cricket headquarters together.

"This is the first time since October 2004 that the two top ICC officials have visited Pakistan's cricket headquarters together," the press release said.

India has ruled out a trip to Pakistan for September's Asian Cup, citing security concerns, and the PCB has offered to let them play their games in the United Arab Emirates in what it calls a 'hybrid model'.

Meanwhile, Sethi said there was a "very real possibility" that Pakistan would boycott this year's World Cup if the country lost the rights to host the Asian Cup.
