Brisbane Heat have locked in left-arm quick Spencer Johnson until 2028. Brisbane Heat have announced this news on Friday (December 13).

Spencer Johnson Spencer Johnson has had a meteoric rise since his first Brisbane Heat contract, he then went to playing for Australia and also secured T20 playing deals in the Indian Premier League, The Hundred and The Major League Cricket.

Brisbane Heat CEO Terry Svenson welcomed the confirmation that the left-arm quick would continue with the Heat.

“Spencer is a firm fan favourite and it’s been an absolute pleasure to witness his development as a player and a person,’’ he said.

“We greatly value his commitment to the Heat and are delighted he will have the chance to continue to showcase his skills and grow his popularity even more with the fans.”

The Heat will begin their BBL|14 journey playing against the Melbourne Stars at the MCG on Wednesday (December 18). And they'll have their season's first home game against the Adelaide Strikers on Sunday (December 22) at the Gabba.
