The spinner ended the age-level competition being the highest wicket-taker, claiming 17 wickets, but what everyone is talking about now is the unruly scenes he presented in the Potchefstroom final against Bangladesh.
Because of his misbehaviour during and after the game on Sunday, he was charged besides four other players by the International Cricket Council (ICC). While the others were charged with violating Article 2.21 of ICC's Code of Conduct only, Bishnoi was slapped with a further charge of breaching Article 2.5.
The second charge is because of a separate incident during the match, where he used language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter following the dismissal of Avishek Das in the 23rd over.
Even the young cricketer's father is shocked seeing the misconducts of his son. He also told mid-day.com that Bishnoi's mother has not been eating anything since getting to know about all this.
"I wonder what happened to my son, because he is one of my calmest children," said Bishnoi's father Mangilal Bishnoi, who has two sons and two daughters.
"He [Bishnoi] explained the sequence of events and the circumstances when he lost his cool while trying to save his teammate, who was being attacked by the Bangladeshi players," he said before adding, "My wife has not eaten anything since yesterday."
