Beau WebsterThe news was first revealed by News Corp after Mitchell Marsh picked up a sore, following the series opener in Perth.
“(Marsh) has been battling a couple of little niggles since the UK tour,” Australian captain Pat Cummins said during the post-match press conference in Perth.
“He was a little but sore towards the end of this Test match, so the next ten days he has a chance to freshen up and try to get it right.
“We’ll see how he goes.”

Beau Webster is the most consistent cricketer in the Sheffield Shield over the last 24 months. Since the start of 2022/23 season, he has accumulated 1788 runs at a jaw dropping average of 51.08, including five hundreds and nine fifties. He's also a handy right-arm seamer, picking up 30 Sheffield Shield wickets at 29.30 last summer.
During the recent Australia A series against India A, he scored 145 runs at an eye-watering average of 72.50 and claimed seven wickets in both the innings.
