The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced squad for the upcoming Women's Asia Cup 2024, which begins from July 19. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the Indian side, while Smirti Mandhana has been named as her deputy.

The Women’s Selection Committee of BCCI on Saturday (6th July) announced the Indian Women's team squad for the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup T20, 2024 which is set to take place in Dambulla, Sri Lanka. The opening game will be between the arch-rivals of the game India and Pakistan as both the sides locked their horns on Friday (19th July) in Dambulla.

As always Harmanpreet Kaur will be the captain of the team and Smriti Mandhana will play the vice captain role.

Squad for the Asia Cup 2024: Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandhana (VC), Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh (WK), Uma Chetry (WK), Pooja Vastrakar, Arundhati Reddy, Renuka Singh Thakur, Dayalan Hemalatha, Asha Sobhana, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, Sajana Sajeevan.

Traveling reserves: Shweta Sehrawat, Saika Ishaque, Tanuja Kanwer, Meghna Singh.

India are slotted in the Group A with their arch-rivals Pakistan, Nepal and UAE. They'll commence their campaign with the high-octane clash against Pakistan, and then they'll face UAE on July 21 and the clash will be followed by the match against Nepal on July 23.
