Adelaide Strikers defeated Bangladesh HP by 32 runs to lift the Top End T20 Series 2024 on Sunday (18th August). Adelaide Strikers posted a massive 169 on the board after batting first. In reply, Llyod Pope, Liam Scott shared two wickets each and other bowlers contribution restricted Bangladesh to 137.

Jake Winter fell in the second over and Adelaide fell in the trouble after batting first. Harry Mathews and Tom O'Connol managed to handle the initial blow. Harry fell after a while, but Tom was going berserk, smashing things everywhere of the park and scoring a blistering 33-ball 53 which gave a solid foundation to the innings.
Lower order batter Liam Scott played a superb cameo and scored 30 runs off 18 balls, while Ryan King came out all the guns blazing to hammer 35 off just 19 balls to help Adelaide Strikers post a massive 169 on the board.
Ripon Mondol once again became the standout bowler for Bangladesh HP, claiming two wickets to his name. While Afif Hossain, Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby and Rakibul Hasan had one wicket apiece.
In reply, Jishan Alam and Tanzid Tamim started off to a flier. The duo added 32 runs on the opening stand. Jishan departed earlier, and then Emon too fell cheaply.
After the fall of the top order, Bangladesh middle and lower order too couldn’t stand tall as they collapsed horribly. Tanzid Hasan Tamim was the only batter to stand tall, scoring 35 off 29 balls.
Bangladesh HP managed to get just 137 runs, short of 32 runs. And the Adelaide Strikers won the Top End T20 Series 2024 by a commendable margin. Bangladesh HP ended up being runners-up of the tournament.
