'Work load management' is a hot topic in sports in recent times. In workload management, it takes into account how much a player should and is taking stress in practice and games. Until now in Bangladesh cricket, these calculations were done manually. The pages of the computer were filled with the words of the physio-trainers. However, Bangladesh are not lagging behind in the age of technology, so the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has given GPS kits to the cricketers. The cricketers have started practicing by putting GPS kits on them from today.

Today Bangladesh team practice in match condition started at 12 pm noon. This is the first time GPS technology is being used in practice. The players donned special black kits with GPS technology. Many famous football teams and clubs including Brazil, Real Madrid use this special GPS kit from Catapult Company.

Teams like Australia and England have started using GPS kits in cricket. After announcing the 17-man squad for the Asia Cup today, Bangladesh cricketers took to practice wearing this kit. A technician was also seen on the field at the start of practice. He was mainly brought to know details about the GPS setting or its work.

This technology will provide all kinds of information and measure the workload management of the cricketers. Exactly how much a cricketer has run during practice, the average run per hour or his heart rate, even how many steps he has walked - all this information will be transferred to the laptops of physios, trainers, doctors through GPS-technology.

Each player will have a separate 'account' in this system. Through which all the coach-players will get all the information very easily. Whether a player is fit for a match or not is indicated by a green, yellow or red mark next to his name. Green means fit, red means not fit, and yellow means there is doubt about the game.
