Sri Lanka Women beat Pakistan Women by 3 wickets in the Semi-final two to reach to the finals of Asia Cup 2024 on Friday (26th July) at Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium. Nida Dar and Fatima Sana's late blows helped Pakistan post a solid first innings total of 140 on the board. In reply, Sri Lankan skipper Chamari Athapathtu's incredible 63 steered Sri Lanka home as the home team chased down the total with 3 wickets in hands. 


Being asked to bat first, Pakistan Women had a brilliant start with both the openers got starts. The opening stand accumulated 61 runs on the board before Gull Feroza got out on 25 off 24 deliveries. Wicket-keeper batter Muneeba Ali made a fantastic 37 off 34 deliveries to give Pakistan a rollicking start.

Captain Nida Dar continued the momentum with her continuous strokes and a little cameo of 23 off 17. At the tad backend of the innings, Fatima Sana's three boundaries aided Pakistan post a solid 140 on the board.
