The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025 has concluded. Fortune Barishal have won their second title in a row following a dramatic victory against the Chittagong Kings in the final match. They won the final by three wickets. Both local and foreign players put up some amazing individual performances during the competition.
Based on standout performances throughout the season, BDCricTime has picked the Best XI of BPL 2025. Let’s take a look at the players who made the cut!
BPL 2025 Best XI by BDCricTime
1. Tamim Iqbal (Fortune Barishal) – Captain
Tamim Iqbal led the way in helping Barishal win two championships in a row. He scored 413 runs in 14 games. He played a crucial knock of 54 runs off 29 balls in the final match. He also did a great job as captain as he won the BPL trophy.
The top run-scorer of BPL 2025, will bat alongside Tamim at the top. The Khulna Tigers opener scored 511 runs in 14 innings, showing he was a reliable player during the event.
3. Tanzid Hasan Tamim (Dhaka Capitals)
Even though the Dhaka Capitals didn't do well as a team, Tanzid Hasan Tamim played really well. His strong starting helped his team many times, as he scored 485 runs in 12 games, making him the second-highest scorer.
4. Mahidul Islam Ankon (Khulna Tigers) – Wicketkeeper.
Mahidul Islam Ankon made a surprising impact in the middle order by taking on the ending job this season. He made 316 runs in 12 games with a strike rate of over 175, usually helping Khulna with important late runs.
5. Khushdil Shah (Rangpur Riders)
One of the most valuable all-rounders of the tournament, Khushdil Shah made significant contributions with both bat and ball. He scored 298 runs in 8 innings and was a major force in Rangpur’s bowling attack, picking up 17 wickets in 9 matches. His absence in the later stage hurt Rangpur badly.
6. Shamim Hossain (Chittagong Kings)
Shamim Hossain, the potent finisher for the Chittagong Kings, scored numerous match-winning strikes. He consistently increased the scoring in the death overs, accumulating 352 runs at a brisk strike rate of 160 in 15 innings.
7. Faheem Ashraf (Fortune Barishal)
Faheem Ashraf was another all-rounder who made a significant impact. He was a threatening lower-order attacker due to his batting strike rate of 231+, and he finished as the second-highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 20 wickets.
8. Aliss Al Islam (Chittagong Kings) – Specialist Spinner
Arafat Sunny, the only spinner in the team, impressed the crowd with his smart spinning and accurate spins. He had an important impact with the bat, hitting a game-winning distance in a playoff match. He took 15 wickets in 13 matches.
9. Taskin Ahmed (Durbar Rajshahi)
Taskin had a record-breaking season. He set a new record in the BPL by being the top wicket-taker with 25 wickets.
10. Khaled Ahmed (Chittagong Kings)
The most dependable bowler for Chittagong Kings. He showed great skill with his accurate fast bowling. He took 20 wickets, showing he was very important to his team.
11. Akif Javed (Rangpur Riders)
Akif Javed stood out as a strong bowler for the Rangpur Riders. He took 20 wickets and showed his great skill throughout the tournament.
12th Man: Mehidy Hasan Miraz (Khulna Tigers)
Khulna Tigers’ captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz led from the front despite having a relatively weaker squad. His all-round contributions (355 runs & 13 wickets) earned him the Player of the Tournament award.
