England opener Zak Crawley will not be participating in The Hundred due to a broken finger he sustained while dropping a catch in the third Test against the West Indies.

The exact nature of the injury is still unknown, but surgery may be confirmed this week. Crawley's injury occurred on Sunday, the last day of the third Test, when he was rushed to the hospital after dropping a catch at second slip just before lunch. An X-ray confirmed the fracture. Crawley will not be available for the next three weeks in the Hundred, and there is growing concern that he may miss the three-Test series against Sri Lanka starting on August 21.

To fill in for injured Zak Crawley for the rest of the 2024 edition of The Hundred, London Spirit signed Lancashire opener Keaton Jennings.

In the series, Atkinson reached 90 mph, but Wood maintained a consistent pace above that and bowled a spectacular reverse-swing session to quickly end the series on Sunday while Crawley was in the hospital.
