In the press conference, Zakir said, “Actually, what else can I say. We have totally failed. We did not perform to our potential. I think we didn't play the role we had. In terms of total batting, yes, we could not play the way we were supposed to play.”

Asked if such a failure works in the mind, Zakir added, “It really shouldn't work. I batter I try to start fresh every day. Actually, I know if anyone else thinks like this. I think it's important for us if we can do well now without worrying about that.”

Acknowledging that they should have done better, Zakir further said, “We have to face that specific delivery as well. Today I think having a little more wind helped a little. Everything was fine except that. Wicket wise everything was fine. It cannot be said that I am out for this ball. We should have played better.”
