UAE qualify for Asia Cup 2025
UAE lost the toss and elected to bat first. The opening pair of Alishan Sharafu and captain Mohammed Waseem put up 93 runs to lead the team to a big score. Zeeshan Maqsood broke their opening pair. Zeeshan sent back Sharafu who scored 34 runs off 28 balls.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) have secured a place in the main stage of the 2025 Asia Cup after defeating Oman in the final of the ACC Premier Cup. Skipper Mohammed Waseem led from the front with a scintillating hundred.
UAE lost the toss and elected to bat first. The opening pair of Alishan Sharafu and captain Mohammed Waseem put up 93 runs to lead the team to a big score. Zeeshan Maqsood broke their opening pair. Zeeshan sent back Sharafu who scored 34 runs off 28 balls.
UAE captain Waseem fought at one end. He played an innings of 100 runs with 6 fours and 7 sixes from 56 balls. Besides, Asif Khan's innings of 38 runs from 15 balls gave UAE a pair of 204 runs.
Oman stuttered at the start of their response to 204 runs. Junaid Siddique removed Kashyap Prajapati in his first over. Another opener, Naseem Khushi, was bowled in that over. Oman lost wickets at frequent intervals and was knocked out of the game. Pratik Athavele's 49-run innings reduced Oman's losing margin.
Oman scored 149 runs for 9 wickets after batting 20 overs. United Arab Emirates (UAE) secured the 10-team ACC Premier Cup title with a 55-run win. Asia Cup will be held in T20 format in 2025.
