USA won the second T20I against Bangladesh by 6 runs on Thursday and clinched the series as well with one match in hand. After the match, pacer Ali Khan says that associate teams should be given more chances to play against big teams and thus they can show their talent to the world.
USA have been in superb form in the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh. After winning two consecutive matches, Ali asks for more opportunities in future.
“In the games like this and in the series like this, individual performances count as well. And especially as a team, this shows the world what we can do if we have given the opportunities. And if you just keep playing at this associate level or lower level, you're just going to stay there. But if you have more opportunities to play against bigger sites, top 10 teams, there's definitely ways of doing an upset. And this is a clear picture of that. And I think definitely associate cricket should be given more opportunities against the full member. That will help us showcase our talent and what we have to show the world,” Ali said.
The third and last T20I of the series will be on May 25 at the same venue.
