For the first time in its history, Sylhet Division has emerged as champions of the National Cricket League (NCL), showcasing consistent performances throughout the tournament. They sealed their fate in the 6th round by defeating Barishal Division and secured the title after the match between Dhaka Metro and Rangpur ended in a draw.
In their final match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet needed just 105 runs on the fourth day to beat Barishal. Riding on solid performances from Amite Hasan (38* off 69 balls) and Nasum Ahmed (44 off 52 balls), Sylhet comfortably reached the target, winning by five wickets.
Sylhet posted a first-innings total of 342, surpassing Barishal's 304.
Barishal struggled in their second innings, managing only 142, leaving Sylhet with a modest target of 105.
Sylhet reached the target in 27.3 overs.
With this victory, Sylhet gathered 37 points, an unassailable lead at the top of the table. Dhaka Metro finished second with 25 points, followed by Rangpur with 23 points.

At the Cox’s Bazar Academy Ground, Rangpur resumed their first innings at 253/9 on the fourth day, eventually being bowled out for 301. Dhaka Metro, with a first-innings lead of 174 runs, collapsed in their second innings to just 118.
Rangpur’s Mahedi Hasan claimed a remarkable 7-wicket haul in Dhaka Metro’s second innings.
Despite Rangpur’s valiant efforts, the match ended in a draw, confirming Sylhet’s championship.
Khulna Secures Victory Over Chattogram
At the Sylhet Academy Ground, Khulna Division defeated Chattogram Division by 58 runs. Khulna’s Al-Amin Hossain was instrumental, taking 5 wickets in Chattogram’s second innings.
Chattogram, chasing 204, was bowled out for 145 on the fourth day.
Mahedi Hasan claimed three wickets in the innings and was named Player of the Match.
