Afif Hossain Dhrubo, one of the prodigious batters in Bangladesh's circuit. He played 27 innings in ODI's and scored 600 runs at an average of 28.57 and a strike rate of 90.09. Even in his last outing in this format, he played a quick-fire 38 off only 28 balls. Still he wasn’t picked for the ODI's against Sri Lanka. The thing Sujan couldn’t grasp it. 

For last some of years, Afif is playing for Abahani in Dhaka Premier League (DPL). Sujan has been this team's coach, so he saw Afif closely. And he pondered, Afif exclusion from the ODI side is a joke after his good run in this format.

He said :

"I have seen Afif for some of years in Abahani. He isn't with the ODI side. I was a bit surprised on that. He scored 38 runs in his last ODI innings. So the question rises why he isn't in the ODI team. He is a hardworking person and dedicated, he fights for his place and a good fielder. Surprising!"

"Who came in place of Afif surely was a thoughtful decision from the selectors. I have nothing to say. My opinion is - Afif is a match winner for Bangladesh. He won us many matches. We shouldn’t ignore this kind of players. And now Afif is experienced. It's not like he's a young cricketer anymore. It would be good if he's with the team rather than not in the squad."
