Indian captain Rohit Sharma reserved the highest respect for his teammate Mohammed Siraj after the second Test. The final Test in Trinidad ended in a draw as the fifth and final day was washed out without a ball being bowled due to rain. As a result, the second Test ended in a disappointing draw.

However, Team India would be happy that the first Test ended in their favour as they won the series by 1-0. Rohit Sharma and Co won the Test opener in Dominica by an innings and 141 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal was named the Player of the Match for his magnificent 171 on his Test debut.
Talking about the second Test, Mohammed Siraj was adjudged the Player of the Match for his scintillating five-wicket-haul, becoming only the second Indian pacer after legendary Kapil Dev's 5/56 (in 1989) to achieve the feat against the West Indies at Port of Spain.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma was really happy with the way Siraj applied himself in the second Test in Trinidad. Despite the fact that it was a flat wicket, Siraj still figured out a way to take five wickets. He drew plaudits for his impeccable bowling display and also went on to register his career-best Test bowling figures of 5/58.
Indian skipper, at the post-match presentation, added that he had been watching Mohammed Siraj closely over the last few years and that the pacer has taken a huge step in his cricketing career. Siraj stepped up and delivered the goods in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami.
"Siraj, over the years now, I've been watching him closely for 2-3 years. He is taken such a giant step in his personal career, how he has led the attack in the absence of Bumrah and Shami as well. I want everyone to be leading the attack whenever they have the ball in hand. That is the kind of mindset you want to have," Rohit Sharma added.
"You don't want to depend on one or two individuals. You want the entire pace battery to take the responsibility to get the job done for the team and that is exactly the guys have done in the past few years. We have played a really good Test cricket in the recent past and I hope we continue to do that. It's all about these guys having that confidence and moving forward which you can see in the performance," the Indian skipper concluded.
